Very nice work Chaz! i luv the feel of the raw cork with no finish, clean hands is a must with no finish, also if you like a light weight pen cork is good

That must take some mighty sharp tools. I would think that cork has a nice feel for grip.

Nice. I have a leftover rod grip that needs turning. I built custom fishing rods for seven years. I never used a turning tool in those seven years. Sandpaper will do the job and will not have a catch. Like wood, start with a coarse grit and work down as the blank begins to shape. Some of the rod building suppliers have a coating to keep the grip from getting cruddy.

Yeah - I find a sharp skew, light passes and 3000+rpm, works alright.

I would think that cork has a nice feel for grip.
