Transportation options in Utah?

My brother and I are attending the Utah symposium for the first time and are flying in.

We're staying at the Hampton in Orem which is close to the main events. But Craft Supplies Wednesday is also on the must-do list.

I'm debating whether to rent a car (little use other than getting to the hotel and to CSUSA on Wednesday) or shuttle to the hotel and taxi to CSUSA.

Anyone have any experience with taxis or other transportation options here?

If you are planning on staying the whole day, id just ride the buses... I'm sure there are a bunch of other people staying in a hotel near you that are doing the same thing and perhaps you can all carpool in a rent a car or something...
