Jonathon, That is really cool ! Where do you get the powder from ? Can you use Alumilite to cast it. Regards, Doc

That stuff is really cool , I've been playing with it for over 3 years now . For a great effect , try doing a double cast with the glow powder in a clear second cast . Depending which powder you are using , it dissapears in the clear top cast and gives a strange glowing overcast 3D effect . Just be careful about how much you load the clear with it or it will turn cloudy . The best double cast I ever did with it was a swirl of the Green and the Blue glow powders .
The other cool thing I've done with it is to cast a blank with it and run it through an ice chipper and then recast the chips in a solid color . It makes really cool glow in the dark ribbon blanks too .

That is really, really cool!! Did you just mix it in with Alumilite or PR? Color the blank?

Thanks yall! I know glow blanks have been done for a while now, but I'm having fun with it and I'm trying some different applications to see how far I can stretch this stuff. Dawn....I tried to embed the vid but couldn't, I followed the "clear as mud" directions you posted for Hans, but alas. So thanks for the assistance :highfive: I mixed this with silmar 41 and on this blank it's only the glow powder for color. There's actually a yellow swirl in it, you just can't tell in the video. It is very transparant so I'm painting the blank and using black tubes. Butch, that double casting idea is cool. I have something similar in mind that will hopefully come to fruition sooner rather than later. I don't know if this would work with alumilite, I actually have a small amount of aluimilite leftover so maybe I'll finish that off and see what happens. I hope to have the pen turned from this tomorrow if the paint inside the blanks is cured in time.

Cool looking blank,I've only done swirls of glow but I found painting the inside of the blank and the tube white gave great results with the glow,so can't wait to see what it's like with black.

I've been messing around with this for a few months myself. I'm not sure that anyone will buy these pens, but I have used several scrap pieces for jewelry and the young girls go nuts over them. I've sold more of the jewelry than the pens so far.

I don't know if you've tried the same thing (probably I think) but did you try mixing in colored mica for a somewhat normal look that ends up glowing in the dark? I'm testing that now with mixed results.
