Dang. After church we stopped at Giuseppe's for dinner. Just as we were finishing our meal the power went out as a storm cell hit overhead. Next thing I knew the manager herded all of us into the kitchen. A tornado touched down a few miles north of the restaurant. He turned off all the gas in the kitchen. Our next step was to hide in the big walk in cooler. After about 30 minutes things settled down and we made a fast trip to our house. If you're north and east of Middle Georgia be ready to take cover.

Wow that's scary, I'll take the occasional blizzard over a tornado anyday. I've only seen one tornado in person and as it passed over a river it pulled a column of water probably 30 feet in diameter well up into the sky. It was just forming and appeared that the water was enough to make it die off. It gave me a whole new respect for mother nature.

Hey Doc, hows everything this morning after all of the storms. The only damage we had was a few limbs, a run away garbage can and the cable tv housing across the street. All things considered, I think we got extremely lucky seeing as how the storm was moving through at 85mph!

Those had to be some scary moments, Al. Couldn't have been much fun waiting things out in the cooler, either. Did you at least remember to take your last bite of cannoli with you? :D

By the way, I apologize for letting the 16th pass without acknowledging your second anniversary as a member of IAP. May you have many more. :)

Doc, its good to know that you and yours are okay. Sorry to hear that you had to be in a cooler for so long, but I guees better safe than sorry. Did they have good quality foods in the cooler?:)
