Well, as some of you know I've been asking some scroll saw questions lately. This morning I was VERY surprised to get a new DeWalt DW788 for Christmas! With the light and stand even!

This just may be the nicest tool in the shop now! I'm super excited!

The one thing I noticed right off the bat after assembling the stand is it's a bit short for me. Do I just put some wood blocks under the front 2 legs to raise it up?

On my Grizzly Scroll saw stand, not a regular scroll saw stand just a home made stand, I added a home made drawer made of 3/4 plywood right under the saw but on top of the stand to bring it to a good height it is nice because now I have a nice place to store my extra blades, adjustment wrenches, books, and even some patterns as long as you have a stand that you can add a drawer to it may be a good idea. I got the idea from the stand my Lathe cam on when I bought it off Craigslist, it has a drawer under it also except the drawer does not fit the stand right so it dont look the greatest but I plan to fix that by making a box with a lid to store my CA in that I hope to fill in the extra space along side the drawer but on top of the stand. Hope this gives you other ideas and is some kind of help.
