I picked up my first Scrollsaw.
It is a Dremel 1830. I have limited needs so this should do.
I see this running about $200 most places, but my local BORG had it on clearance for $98 before Christmas. I went back this week since Santa forgot me this year.
I spoke to the guy in the tool department and asked if it was only the floor model left. He confirmed that it was but offered to take another 10% off to get it down to about $90.
I showed him that it was missing the hold down foot, so he said he would take $75 so that I could get the missing part and still be about $90.
I went home and verified that I could get the missing part from Dremel and then went back to get it for the $75 +TAX so still just under $80.
The nice lady at Dremel customer service is sending the parts out no charge. I forgot to mention that to the guy at the BORG when I picked it up.

Cool tool. I have been scroll sawing for years. It is a lot fun. With the lower end models, you're limited to thinner wood (say 3/4" or so), but it is still a good addition to any woodworking shop.
