Picked up a Rockwell beaver 10" Bandsaw 28115 with stand today, needed some work, got it for $30 and a delta 2 speed 16" scrollsaw he tossed it for free (used once and just surface rust)

The bandsaws lower wheel was stiff, so I repacked the grease and its working great. The blades are dull!! Does anyone know what size these are and what the max width I can use on this is? It didnt come with a manual and cant seem to find the blade info out online.

Not sure if I need two bandsaws, but may just use this one for resawing only.

Planning on cleaning the scrollsaw up and selling it to make my $30 back :wink:

Run a piece of string around the wheels like you were putting a blade on. Mark where the end meets the string, then measure the distance from the end to the mark.

And, I might add, be very accurate to within an 1/8 th inch. I found this out the hard way.

As far as width.... widest one in that size "should" work?

A good indication of largest blade to use on that saw might be the tension gauge.
