Too much hardener

After doing the casting with Silmar 41, I realized that I had put 10%, rather then 1%, hardener. Is it gong to blow up on me?

May blow out on you when you turn is as it most likely be very brittle.

One way to find out. What have you to lose? Turn it and see what happens.

I would check with your PR supplier and ask if there is any possibility that MEKP might leach out of the material, given the amount you added. I doubt there is, but given the nasty nature of MEKP, I would want to be sure before working with that blank or handling it.

It will probally be ok but just turn it a little slower.

And if it blows up just crush all bits and recast them in another color! Makes for a unique blank.
