Well.....

Today it was 128 degrees in the shop. It was almost 100 outside.
Looks like I'll be doing overnight casting this week. I have 10 gallons to get cast and 10 more on the way.
I can't seem to keep the blanks around long enough to get a group photo.

100 + here in Houston! Hotter in the shop! Need to get one of them fancy air conditioners!

Its 100 here in waycross ga also. I feel your pain with no a/c in the shop. I need to cut wood even though making a coin holder.

I haven't hung a thermometer in my garage/shop because I don't want to know how hot it gets in there. 107 tomorrow, 109 Monday. Perhaps moving to Bakersfield wasn't one of my best ideas.

I know what ya`ll mean. It`s been in the upper UPPER ninties here in central Louisiana with heat indexes at 105. Feels like you are in a sauna getting smuthered. The bright side for casting though is it doesn`t take long for some heating action.

I feel your pain, it hit 84 here this afternoon and to make matters worse the humidity is 21%. For some odd reason the shop which is downstairs and built partially into a hillside is only 72. I can't work in there for more than 12 or 14 hours then gotta get out!

I am a little lost  84 with 21% humidity sounds pretty nice to me. 72 in the shop is even better (though if fumes are a problem I can understand).

It was 98 here today with 54% humidity - was casting indoors again - pretty soon I am going to run out of brain cells - gotta stop that

And you guys think I am nuts for living in a state that gets -50 in the winter.........those temps are inhuman! Be careful! You can fry your brain in that!

I am no glutton for punishment. I've not set foot in the garage to do penturning for three weeks. Might be even longer if this heat wave keeps up with little to no rain here to cool things off.

The only upside about this draught is the fact that no rain means low humidity, something foreign to Houston summers.

You just have to dress and eat for the cold, not really that hard to adapt.

Other than stripping down and sitting on a block of ice what do you do for heat like that! How do you eat or move? AC I guess but ya have to go outside some time.

I guess the body adapts - the heat really doesn't bother me too much - just the humidity. Wear light clothes and drink cold drinks or ice cream

Don't understand what you guys are talking about. Upper 90s, 100+. What do these numbers mean?????:biggrin: I think it's been about 20yrs since I remember phrases like that. It's 55 here in Auckland at the moment (fortunately not in my bedroom) and not supposed to get above 60 for the next ten days.:wink: Oh yeah, an ocean of rain as well for the next week as a possibility. Haven't mown my lawn in almost a month with all the rain we've had.

What a winter.

It's already 84 degrees.
It was fairly nice last night and early this morning. It got down to about 76 degrees in the shop with the help of some fans. I only got three gallons poured.:frown:

Its been in the mid to high 20's here for the past couple of weeks. Humidity around 65%

Just beautiful weather to do whatever you like..

I dont know how you can even move in your heat

Oh yea we use celcius not fahrenheit up here
Therfore 70 - 85 degrees F

Seems that looking at the temp gauge has been becoming more and more meeting with more dismal thoughts around here.....I just stop turning when the sweat reaches the bottom of my butt crack.

Is that too much info?

Scott (then have a cold one) B

Now I feel bad, Yesterday it got to almost 100 here. we where all going to my shop to cool off. and that is without air conditioning. It is really nice but my shop stays cool most of the time.

The temp. doesn't bother me (I don't experience sweat at the bottom of my butt-crack) but, the resin doesn't like the temp. that high. It gels too quick and changes my pour pattern and the overall process.
I need consistancy and that requires a certain temp. range.

40 days since May 1 of 100+ temps here in N Texas.

Far too much personal information about yourself.

102 yesterday 74 in the shop. Going to be that hot or hotter today, still will be 74-76 in the shop. Even with with out AC going it would be in mid 80's out there, good inslulation.
