yeah i know , 1,000,000 ways + 1 or 2 .....
not changing on how you put it on ( paper towel of choice , baggie or whatever style your using ) , if your like me some times you get the little ridges that need to be removed , sanded off. this trick that seems to be working or i getting better but dont thing so.
what i have been doing is reversing the lathe between coats or doing it two coats at a time . the ridges ( swirls ) goes in the opposite direction filling in the low spots so the ridges get filled in and less sanding needed.
