I need a color that I don't have and don't want to try to mix. The quickest way to get it is acrylic paint from Hobby Lobby.

Will this work with Silmar?

as long as it is not a water base paint. Silmar does not like water. Something more like a oil paint would be better

Second that about not using the water based hobby paint for coloring materials that don't like water. In the long run you will not be saving money.

One way to think about it is the old sign painters saying about solvents. if it is an oil based or other solvent for cleaner up what ever you mix has to be the same solvent base.

So if it says soapy/water clean up, water based paint might work well.
The caveat is it will work most times, as with anything it will depend on what it is made of.

As with all things you would want to do a test sample first before committing to mix and pour a larger batch.

Something to think about if you don't think you can mix the color. Take your color sample or chip to your local paint or big box store and have them mix up a sample color bottle a small bottle of the paint. You can get them in water or oil solvent based paint.

Plus they have most of the college/uni team colors along with the other hot colors for teams and kids movies etc.

PR and water....Hmmmmm. I have cast several blanks using India ink for tinting and had no problem with the casting. The blanks are a somewhat translucent but otherwise no problem.
Do a good turn daily!

Most of the India type inks are based on an alcohol solvent formula, for fast drying. That may have something to do with it, or the amount of water in it.
