Not so "shameless" bump!
Yes, there are plenty of "real" pen contests going on over in the Birthday Bash forum. And yes, you should all enter all your "beautiful" pens in those wonderful contests.
But if you're a REAL competitor, and you want to try something truly difficult, try entering a pen in the Ugly Pen Contest. There are some horrifically wretched pens already entered, and you'll really have to come up with something awful to win! I hope you rise to the challenge! Scrape up whatever it is that has been turning your stomach or scaring the dog, and make it into a pen! Time is growing short, and you don't want to be left out of the most prestigious Ugly Pen Contest on Earth!
But even if you can't make anything but "pretty" pens, come on over and do a little Trash Talking about those brave enough to enter the Ugly Pen Contest. Talk is cheap, and that's about how much we'll pay you for your rude and obnoxious comments. Heck, if you have ever wanted to say something harsh about some of the best penturners around, and who hasn't, then stop on by.
Not enough incentive yet? Later in the month we'll be running the Liar's Club Contest! Don't let anybody fool you, this is not going to be some namby-pamby, milk-toast liars contest! This is going to be the real thing! Experienced, first-rate liars, some of the shiftiest critters on the face of the earth, will be coming together here, on the IAP, to spin their tales and make you think-twice!
