I was able to get a few preacher pens taken care of in the last two days. All of these are Jr. Gents. Four of them are Thuya Burl, which has come from the Atlas Mountains in Africa. The Greeks named it Thuya (Too-ya), meaning sacrifice, because they used an oil distilled from it that is used in incense.

Very striking. Thuya is cool, but I really like the hybrid ones. I just started turning some hybrid blanks that I picked up from Exotic Blanks at the MPG in Chicago a few weeks ago and I'm really starting to fall for it. - Dave

Thuya burl is beautiful. We just bought our God daughter a jewelry box made from it. It was presented with several extra things inside, including a pen, of course.
The hybrids are certainly eye catching.
