I like the little detail at the top, a nice touch. I have a Thuya burl blank to turn myself. In what way was it difficult to turn?

Sanding was the problem - Thuya really gums up the paper quickly...not much fun!

You might want to try some 'abranet', won't clog up like typical sandpaper
