Well we are getting another I think they said 5-8" of snow In my neck of the woods. After it was nearly 50 degrees and raining yesterday afternoon. Well 24 hours later its 24 degrees and snowing like crazy. Hard to get in the garage to play when the temp. is so low and it takes me nearly 2 hours to heat the garage to a temp. that everything steel doesn't hurt to hold. More snow to cover all my wood waiting to be rescued, billions of board feet every year in this country. Oh well this spring summer is going to be a great one, especially for Landfill Lumber. Stop by and grab a shovel we have plenty of drive way to go around(my back hurts already). Okay my vent is over, Victor

Yeah well I already told you to move south. It was a bone chilling 74 here Sunday.I think it is gonna be 35 or 40 here tonight.BRRRRRRRR.Ronald.

At least in Michigan you have four seasons. We only have two in Houston Texas. Hot/100% Humidity or fairly cool/100% Humidity. I had some green blanks stored in the garage for 6 months and they turned into boomerangs. My 10 year old daughter thought it was a neat trick.

It is finally getting warm enough here to get into the shop. I have 4 pens waiting to be polished. Waiting for the finish to cure. And one more needs to be turned. And my customer throws at me he wants another Tambootie pen made. So, back to the shop.

Sorry Victor. It will be spring soon, and you will be hard at it, again.

Well Victor 24 hours later and most of the snow is off the roads. How did you like all that sunshine today? Hope you didn't hurt yourself shoveling.

I'm getting tired of it also. The Arkansas Chamber of Commerce image is getting battered. By now, it should be shirtsleeve weather with folks in their gardens and mothers pushing strollers in the park. Instead, we had snow the other day, temps down to teens and more snow slated for tonight. Where is Al Gore when we really need him? [:p]

We have so little weather data, and we know that we have 100 weather cycles, so why wouldn't we have 500/1000?10000 year cycles? I'm beating we do and we are using numbers that only show the latest cycle. Just what I think, Victor

Actually, there is a lot of good weather data. The 'global warming' fanatics refuse to acknowledge it. As far as warming is concerned, there are two main cycles, one is a 50 year interval, the other 500. World-wide warming isn't happening. A shift is occurring. The equator is cooler now than in many years.

Are you getting dumped on again tonight Frank? I am not complaining that this storm decided to stay south of us.

We had 70+ temps on Saturday, 60's on Sunday, and 6"+ snow on Monday.:( At least it wasn't ice this time.

You guys might spare a thought for us poor Aussies. The 7 day forecast doesn't go below 35C and some days will be 39C.
No rain in sight and haven't seen any for about a month.

We are 8 days in to autumn!

Last decent rain was back before Christmas.

Only saving grace is that I don't have to shovel snow.:D

But some precipitation would be very nice, especially as we depend on tank water.

Frank, we were supposed to get it last night but it just rained a little bit, I'm not that far east of you, but it moved in on me about 3 hrs ago, I've been watching how bad Y'all been getting dumped on this afternoon, at least it isn't ice this time, this may not be a bad storm but it sure looks like a long one!:(

We are in the middle of a blizzard here in Ohio right now. Tommorrow is supposed to be worse. Total amount expected is 16 inches. A blizzard in March. Stupid weather. And its forecasted to be in the 50's by next Thursday.

Thanks

i hear you victor. i think everything that comes through iowa goes straight up through chicago and then toward you... i just moved back here and in all my years growing up in iowa never remember a winter as bad as this one, guess i picked the wrong winter to move back. we're easily going to make the top 5 for snowiest winters in recorded history... i think we just hit 3 months of at least 2" on the ground the other day... can't wait to see all the snow mold this year! i think once we spring forward this weekend, the weather will too... hopefully... :)

Quit your complaining about too much snow. I own a plowing business and for the 2nd year in a row, we have plowed less than a half dozen times. Its 40 degrees and been pouring all day and night, tomorrow too I heard. If you want to cover my expenses, I will be happy to come over and plow your driveway. I have an 8' bed that we could fill with wood to help cover the costs. 4mpg and you are what? a thousand miles give or take.? I'll have to expand my route a bit. I may need to bring a trailer too...LOL:)

Hi,

Want to trade place? We are having a snow fall record breaking winter here. I'm in my office, looking outside, wind, snow, ice, all the cocktail, with 50 to km/hour winds with peak at 80km/h. Forecast is for 14 to 16 inches again!!!!!!

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Good news, my shop is in the heated garage[8D]. Will be turning all week-end, nothing else to do!![:p]
