We'd be glad to have you join us. Shoot me an email if you would like to attend and I'll send directions. It will be in N W Houston in the 290 - Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway)area.

With apologies:

I called up my friend LeRoy on the phone
I said, Buddy, I'm afraid to be alone
I got some weird ideas in my head
About things to do in <s>Denver</s> Houston when you're dead

I was working on a steak the other day
I saw Waddy in the Rattlesnake Cafe
Dressed in black, tossing back a shot of rye
Finding things to do in <s>Denver</s> Houston when you die

You won't need a cab to find a priest
Maybe you should find a place to stay
Some place where they never change the sheets
And you just roll around <s>Denver</s> Houston all day

LeRoy says there's something you should know
Not everybody has a place to go
And home is just a place to hang your head
And dream up things to do in <s>Denver</s> Houston when you're dead

You won't need a cap to find a priest
Maybe you should find a place to stay
Some place where they never change the sheets
And you jut roll around <s>Denver</s> Houston all day
You just roll around <s>Denver</s> Houston all day

Still missing you, Warren.

Steve,
There are a couple of wood stores in Houston... one is on I45 at FM2920.. just behind the KFC and La Palanka(sp) Mexican restuarant.. this is the WoodWright..

second is on 290 at Hollister.. That is a Woodcraft Store.

If you're looking for lumber, try:
Houston Hardwoods - http://houstonhardwoods.com/
Clark's Lumber - http://www.clarkshardwoodlumberco.com/index.php

If I'm remembering right, Clark's is a bit more expensive, but their selection is amazing. Well, both of them have amazing selections, and you could (I know I have!) spend hours just drooling.

There's both a Woodcraft and a Rockler in town.

If you're looking for bigger, cheaper, "fresher" turning stock, you could try this guy (no experience here - I'm actually about ready to try contacting him to see if I can get some green stuff to try a couple bowls): http://www.texaswoodcrafts.net/

Good luck! And if you come to the Bubbasville, I'll see you there!
