And they slowed down the track. Imagine the speeds if they were starting at the original men's start point and hadn't worked the ice to slow it down.

I would love to try it

Yes, they slowed it down by moving the star line further down the track, but that only slowed it 5 mph. Laying 6 inches from the ice on my back doing 90 mph not sure i would notice I am not doing 95 mph

See the guy who just wiped out and kept his wits and sled to get back on and finish. Only lost 5 seconds, THATS impressive

Makes me wonder why they don't put a net along the coarse or over it. I always wanted to do that or the bobsledding. Love the winter Olympics, the summer ones just don't excite me as much. My next favorite thing to watch is the America's Cup sail boat racing. I know, I'm weird. Watched airplane racing a while back were they flew an obstacle coarse at around 30 feet above the water. Now that was pretty exciting.

Yeah, air racing is pretty extreme. Those guys fly with precision maneuvers upwards of 200 MPH, and withstand G-forces up to 10-11 G's routinely. Lot of fun to watch on TV, one day I hope to actually go to a race. Check out the Red Bull Air Racing series.
