I have noticed that this has become a phrase that has really become accepted.
Yet, No one has ever asked me how I came up with it.
Can any of you guess why the name came about?

For obvious reasons anyone I have told should not answer.

This isn't a contest or anything like that. There are no right or wrong answers.

I'm just curious and I think this post can be fun.:D

I will post how I came up with the design name in the end.

I'll hazard a guess. Maureen McGovern had a hit song called "There's got to be a morning after" which was the theme song from The Poseidon Adventure (1973 version). It deals with people of divergent backgrounds surviving a cataclysmic sinking of an ocean liner. So, this pen is a amalgamation of survivors?

Good answers! I'll give hint....
It is based on a previous design created before it that may not feel very good.

How sweet it is! (Jackie Gleason) and penturning can be intoxicating. How long must I keep quiet? Come on guys...think!
Do a good turn daily!

Billy B. Nailed it!
I was looking at the "Surely you Jest" design one day and wanted to see what else I could do with the concept.
After working it out, and creating the new design, I realized that it looked like a "surely you Jest" with a hang over.
Thus, "The Morning After".

Ron, that is an interesting origin. I really like the design and plan on copying it someday (if I have your permission). Thanks for the inspiration.

Louis,
Of course you have permission. It is copied all the time.
I try to make it as easy as possible to copy, by having a tutorial written for it. Actually I encourage it, due to the fact that this method can produce an endless number of designs.
I look forward to your version and creation.
