As some of you might have seen I seem to hurt myself once a month at work. Running machinery 12 hours a day I guess increases the chance for that haha. Anyways, last thursday the table saw shot a lovely 2" piece of maple right inthe my forearm. It went in about 1-1/4. I cant even begin to tell you how it happened all I remember is hearing a bang and feeling a lot of pressure in my arm and looking to see this piece of wood sticking out.

So lesson is be careful!

I got the "splinter" at the shop on a shelf, it's a trophy now! The cut thats left on my arm looks like nothing. I was really suprised after a few days.

Sheesh. My saw likes to kick once in a while. The guy that causes me injury is the drill press. Can't seem to keep my fingers our of the way.

you could have lost two fingers like I did, Sure do miss them. I now exercise XTREEM CAUTION when using my 10 inch finger removal tool.
It's better to loose the two fingers like you did than what this buy's girlfriend lost.
A man was lying in bed with his new girlfriend.

After having great sex, she spent the next hour just rubbing his testicles -- something she loved to do.

As he was enjoying it, he turned and asked her, "Why do you love doing that?"

"Because", she replied, "I miss mine."

The lesson could be "be careful," but it may also be "use a good fence." What were you doing when you got the kick back? Rip cut, cross cut, miter cut, etc? Were you using a fence or sled?
