Here is a hypothetical situation. If you somehow knew that you will not be able to make pens anymore, what would be your last one? Whether it was a terminal disease, or you're being put in a nursing home or funny farm, that's not the point. What kind of pen would you make? [?]

For me Jim, it would be Bethlehem Olivewood in a Titanium Gold Sierra. If it was my last pen I would make two at the same time and give one to God and one to Jesus. I'm going to need all the help I can get to reach the Pearly Gates[}:)][;)][:D]

A snake skin cast by me. I'm sort of prejudiced.
Do a good turn daily!

A segmented emperor limited edition serial #1, fountain pen a la Gisi style, but using solid gold and platinum instead of wood. Hey, if it's my last, I might as well go out in style [:D]

I wouldn't make a pen .... I'd take one last shot at the IAP Daily Trivia Contest! Ohhhhh, it's over?

Then, my last pen would be ala DCBluesman handpainted fountain pen. [:)] Really incredible artistry.

For me, the answer depends on whether I expected to use the last pen or give it away. In either case, however, I think I'd want to try the most intricate segmentation I could imagine to make the process last as long as possible. [:D]

Whatever the music inspired me to create.
I would then hand it to my wife and let her know that it was one expensive pen and she could do with it what she liked.

Ditto.. Why not an Australain Sea snake skin, done by me of course and you will be the # 4 in US, sorry Don [:D][:p]

I think mine would be using my most expensive woods with intricate inlays of ivory or something like that. Maybe use an Imperial without the gold trim. I may have to try something along those lines before I am committed. [;)]

Sorry, but I can't get with the hypothesis. I would never like to know that it's the last time I would do anything. That's just not the kind of foreknowledge I would ever like to have. While not a pollyanna (sp?) by any means - I always like to keep thinking forward and remember the past fondly later.

I had not seen your Sea Snake pen before. Here it is. That is awesome! It looks similar to the cactus pens.

If it was to be my last pen that I turn I think I would like to have one of Ron's most intricate segmented blanks, or maybe one of Eagles as I could finally say I turned one of the masters works.
