I'm watching a National Geographic show on the Mohave Desert. Native to California, I'm suprised I never knew about this strange phenomena. Evidently, the dunes in some areas make an audible sound that travels distances. It's one prolonged note, G, E or F. And it revirberates over the desert . . . For a dune to "boom" it has to be at least 120' tall with a slope over 30 degrees and it has to be HOT.

It just amazes me to still be learning about my little area of the world.

Now if I could just remember it.

So, will global warming change those all to their respective "flats" or "sharps"?
