Just a note to say that I had a" great rush" today, an awesome thrill.

I took a couple of college visitors from the Memphis TN area to a nearby theme park that I have been to several times (near Nagoya, Japan). It has the worlds third highest roller coaster at 97 meters and is the world's longest - called the Steel dragon. Even though I have been several times to this theme park, the Steel Dragon has always been closed, which it is on windy days and often in the winter.

They have a huge wooden roller coaster also that will shake your teeth out. Feels like one big long vibrating earthquake. But it was fun. When I was in line, I noticed a sign saying no one over 54 was allowed. No one asked me and I didn't volunteer my age - so I guess my "61" birthdays didn't matter. I didn't see an age sign on the Steel Dragon relating to age - only those with heart problems not allowed. AND all the signs were in Japanese. I could have claimed that I couldn't read them.

It was the best rush I have had outside of a aerobatic plane ride some years ago.

I feel like a kid again. :smile-big:

I'm glad you had a good time, Hank, but you can have all of the wooden coasters in the world. They just hurt me too bad. I'm actually kind of a coaster wimp anyway, so I usually stay away from the taller ones. I had a huge coaster phobia until I was in my late 30's. Now I actually enjoy "most" I've ridden. My favorite is the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster in FL, followed by The Raptor at Cedar Point and The Great White at Sea World, San Antionio.

Airobatic Plane!!! Man you are some sort of Ku-razy! Glad you had a good time. I think the only way I could enjoy all that is by watching you do it. lol. It's nice to know you've never gotten to old to "Sneak over the Fence" so to speak. sounds like it was a fun day. I don't trust machines but would climb on the back of any horse any day. And they don't have seat belts.

Hank,
Glad you had a good time... I'm a few years past you in age, but I've never never been a thrill seeker... I've ridden maybe two rollercoasters and the space mountain in Disneyland, but "it's a small world" is more my speed. Can't do anything that spins either..
