Ryan hosted our local chapter meeting today , complete with refreshments and a drawing . Lots of turners there , and we can expect more new IAP members . Thanks Ryan !

It was very generous for him to host the meeting and provide the refreshments. It was a great meeting. Especially since I won a nice laser inlay kit.:biggrin:

I had a nice time, and enjoyed meeting a few IAP members. I can finally put a face with the names. Also Chuck's (dalecamino) pens look even better in person if that's possible. That guy knows how to turn some seriously good pens!!
 
Trust me, they took a lot, and I mean a lot of pictures. So I'm sure they'll be on here sometime soon.

I'm going to email my pics to Ken and he can sort through what he wants to post. That way were not posting duplicates. Wow what a turn out. I also want to thank Woodturningz for letting us overrun his place and for furnishing the refreshments. Great to meet several new guys and gals. Were definetly going to have to get a huge place if it continues to grow.
 
It was certainly worth the drive in the rain to get there today. Good to see you all there. Yes Dale's pens are REALLY nice. His black bakelite (Emperor... I think) is really a work of art. Happy Birthday Dale!

Woodturningz did a great job of taking care of us. I'm sure it was a bit of a hassle for them to have to clear out there place for us so I hope the sales today made up for it.

It was great having all of you guys visit us at WoodTurningz, and a big thank you for the orders placed!

We'll try to squeeze out a little more space for the May meeting as the turnout was bigger than expected! Also - hopefully the weather will be nice and it can be held indoors/outdoors as well...

No problem Ron . It's just an Amp Energy emblem on the hat , showing my support for Dale Jr. , #88 :biggrin::rolleyes: , who will be driving his butt off at Bristol this weekend . But , you DID get the most important part in the pic . Thanks friend !
