Heres a quick Question to the Poly Resin Veterans. I need to make a couple of custom mold shapes kind of like relief molds but i cant figure out a moldable material that can withstand the heat of curing resin. Would wax hold up to that temperature, or even play dough? Any suggestions?

I've not tried this yet, but from what I've read on here, silicone sealant for bathtubs is suppose to be the cat's meow. There is a special kind though, it needs to be the kind that sets up and gets hard.

You need the silicon selent that is acid cure. The kind that smells like vinegar when used. for a quick setting material, mix about 25% corn starch in the silicon and mold it around your original. It will set in lies than an hour usually. CAUTION: Be sure and coat the item you are trying to make your mole from with some type of release agent. Otherwise the silicon may stick very good to the original. PM me for any other info about this if I can help.
