Tegu anyone?

Has anyone ever tried casting Tegu skin? I don't know much about it, is it thicker than snake skin? Is it too thick for pens? I have been offered a Tegu that is in a reptile guys freezer. This is just a random pic I found online. Not sure how big it is.

I have a lizard skin in the process of tanning now that I captured over the weekend. The skin doesn't appear to be much thicker than snakeskin. You can stretch a piece of the skin after it's tanned around the tube(s) and mic the skin to see if there will be enough clearance.

If it looks like that pic that is going to be one nice pen. Really look good on a zen or another longer tube pen to show off a good size length of skin. Good luck with it.

Another note...if it's offered always take it. It might me too thick for a pen, but it can always be used for something else. Handle on a magic wand or stretched around a small bowl or box. If it's free it's for me! Do you have 3?
