That has been available for several years now. Back when it came out, it cost around $1,000.00 to replace the parts. Not sure what it costs now.

They said it was $60. That is $60 for the brake cartridge plus whatever the blade costs. Let's say it is a Forrest WWII at $100 +/-. That is $160 vs possibly $$$$$$Thousands to have a finger sewed back on. I would buy one in a minute if I was looking for a new saw but I already have a $1,500 Delta Unisaw and just can't seem to part with it!

I talked to one of their demonstrators at a show. He said that the developer was basically dared to show his faith in SawStop. He told them to get all the video they wanted on the first take as there would NOT be a second take. I'm sure you noted that he didn't shove his finger into the blade. It just goes against everything normal to touch a digit to a running saw blade.

Curtis, after the second surgery to revise the end of the index finger, and therapy not counting the 120 miles every other day the bills with ambulance from one hospital to another one, it cost almost 27,000.00 and I have about 1/3 of the use of two fingers, Hell yes I'd pay for a new blade and brake module.
