I see many comments about the Pearl-Ex powders and vaious other tints, etc. I looked on the resources area but didn't see a good listing of where folks are getting their tints and dyes.

What are the best sources? Which sources have the best color selections?

Thanks

I don't know about the BEST sources, but I have 2 Michaels within 20min of each other- and they have regular 40% coupons- so I get the blister packs of PearlEx from them.

For tinting, I also use the Harbor Freight powder coating pigments. $5-ish for a rather large bottle- granted they only have a couple of colors (black, white and red) - but they do the job

If testors enamel will work, then there is another company called Boyd if my memory serves me correctly. They are sort of the "House of Kolor" for model paints. Their paint is a bit more expensive, and a bit harder to find (I can only get it online, or from one local hobby shop that specializes in model building), but they have some really neat colors.

Chrome illusion, lots of pearls and metal flakes.

As you can see you'll get a lot of different answers depending on what material you are using as your base resin. You can also look into transtint powders and dyes from homestead finishing.
