Has anyone tried this stuff for finishing pens? It says it has some kind of rubberized additive and was wondering if the finish would be hard or not. If nobody has tried it maybe i'll have to invest in some and give it a shot. If it doesnt work i guess i can use it to glue pieces together.

I expect it's just a medium CA which has a filler for gap filling. There is also a "Gorilla" version of super glue as well.

I have used it on some slimline wood blanks and have yet to experience any real problems. I don't think I would use it on larger blanks and certainly not on any other type of material. It does expand and tends to leave a slight "foamy" residue when cured (less foamy and milkish than Gorilla glue). I would choose it over Gorilla for large wood projects but for pens and small projects, I'll stick with using epoxy and sometimes CA.

Happy New Year to All

Sumo Glue is not super glue--not CA. It is a polyurethane glue, very similar to Gorilla Glue, except that it foams less, and cures faster. I would NOT recommend it as a finish, unless you relish disappointment, and are a glutton for punishment. Loctite DOES manufacture a CA, or super glue, but this is not it! This can be validated via the Sumo Glue website itself.

Sorry guys but it was gorrilla super glue i meant to ask about. It is called super glue but has rubberized particles in it. Anyone know about this stuff?
