I have done some top hat stoppers using the silicone and dowel method but decided to try something different. These use the PSI stubby SS stopper.
Black Mesquite on the Laphroaig and Redheart on the Ardbeg.

That's a cool idea... I haven't used the Stubby SS stopper, but have made mine with silicone stopper... I like the idea and if you don't mind, may use it on my next stopper run.
