I tried turning Stella D'Oro Lilly seed pods. Not exactly a win. But I thought I'd share my experiment for others. Maybe you would have a better result.
I broke the blank, obviously (and that's a whole nuther rant about painted holes and epoxy! ). But I wet sanded what was left to see what I almost had. It might be tough to capture the beautiful 'filigree' of the pod in the narrow width of a pen tube. All that I captured in my small sample was the skeleton outline of the pod shape.
