This is my first attempt at casting, I've had the can of PR for 3 months and finally got the nerve to try it. I got some Mixol and Inlace silver flakes at Woodzone and well here it is. I would have liked there to be a little more yellow but I mixed it to quick.

Looks great for your first cast Tom! Did I start a casting bug at the last demo at woodzone? This is Jonathon btw, the guy who did that demo. If you think you'll make it to the next meeting bring some of your casts in. I've been goin crazy at home casting something new just about every night so i'll be bringing in some.

Yes I guess the castings you did pushed me over the edge, Acrylic/PR is not my favorite thing to turn but I have to give it a try. As long as I can create something I will try new mediums and see what happens.

Looks great! Pr wasnt my fav to turn either when I started but after I started playing around with it, it really took me over. Not to mention you cant beat the start to finish time with no days delay on lacquer or finishes. I still tend to pour to quickly allowing my colors to blend mreo than I wish. Once in a a while I can get a few nice swirls and eyes in the pr by spinning a toothpick between my fingers and small swirling. Keep up the good work!
