Jim,
I used images of real stamps off the internet as the customer wanted a NASA theme. Plus I didn't want to possibly mess up real stamps that I couldn't replace. Once cased, you couldn't tell the images weren't real stamps. I painted the tube white to hide it in the background.
Good luck with the project.

I've done 6 of these Decoupage stamp castings and 3 actually turned out. At first I tried 3M Adhesive to glue the stamps onto the tubes and then used mod-podge to seal it like the tutorials say. For what ever reason the colors on the stamps bled into the resin and changed the colors on the stamp and the mod podge clouded the cast.

So after that failure I went with my gut! I used the 3M adhesive to secure the stamps and let that dray for a good 24 hours. From there I used thin CA and poured it over the stamps. I did this for 3 solid layers and let it gas off for 48 hours to be safe. Using this method reslted in a perfect cast for me. I'm sure others have other methods that have worked for them.

Hope that helps

Jim! the way i did mine l used a wood blank and the kit brass tube of choice.turn blank down just a whisker below bushings then seal the blank with ca, then glue your stamps to the blank with decoupage glue then use there sealer to seal it make sure it dry's over night. then use ca to cover and seal the stamps. Jim if you go to PSI and type into the search box stamp pens this will take you to the stamps there selling click onto any of the stamp groups then scroll down to the YouTube Video .

I've done a number of them Jim and the one thing to watch for, as metioned, is bleedng. I find it happens more with the older stamps.
I attach the stamps to the tube using Mod Podge and let it dry overnight. Then I do a couple of spray coats of clear laquer. Let it sit for a day or so and then cast
