Stablilization?

Ok I understand what Stabilization is. So what is used to stabilize the wood, I have a or I should say in the process of building a pressure pot actually only need 1 more bushing and finished anyway, so what are the processes to stabilize . I am sure this is said somewhere I looked around but never really found a good answer the library has a thing about a vacuum and polyurethane but i don't have a vacuum

also how dry does the wood need to be to stabilize, i have a lot of wood at different levels of dryness, a friend has been sending me a bunch of wood, post oak,mesquite,hickory,pecan,purple-heart cedar, and a few i dont know

There have been several posts on how to stabilize wood. These are methods used by many of us around here and some work well while some are difficult because acetone eats plastic and rubber seals.

I think the wood needs to be <6% but that is a guess on what I have read. The dryer the better. Do a search in the Casting and Stabilization forum. I know this question has been answered there already.
