Hello all.
I have several large yellow cedar burls that I need to cut up and stabilize.
I recall someone saying that ycb is tricky because of the sap. But, I didn't get any suggestions about how to handle it.
Could someone offer a tip on special handling for stabilization, or can I just dry it and stabilize as I would for maple burl, etc.?
Thank you.

Several years back, I had some Alaskan Yellow Cedar Burl and a friend stabilized several pieces for me. I don't recall drying these before stabilizing so they must have been dry enough not to cause any issues.
Anyway, I found pics! I wish I still had this pen.

Thank you Charlie.
It's good to know. I'm anxious to get it processed and see how it looks.
