Stabilizing equipment question#2

So... I am just about to order my equipment for stabilizing wood.
Does this equipment has other uses? like....
I sometimes cast stuff embedded in resin, and often get some bubbles sometimes small, sometimes really big.
Can the resin and molds be put in vacuum while curing to get rid of the bubbling?
Any other uses this equipment might have?

Vacuum does not work well for casting embedded objects UNLESS you are able to pull full vacuum, then release it to atmosphere before the resin firms up. I have used vacuum for casting in the past and find that pressure works much better for embedded objects.
