I have these four blanks i would like to send to four different people for them to turn,I did the stabilizing myself and need some feedback on what whoever tries them thinks about how they are to work with,i've turned a few and they worked out pretty good, all are spalted pecan and i used minwax fast dry poly, big enough for euro's or slims, thanks.

Wow, those are beauties Bill! I doubt you'll have trouble finding takers. If I had more shop time, I'd be jumping all over 'em!

Steve and Chris e mail sent, this is my first try at stabilizing, just trying to find out if i'm doing it anywhere close to right, thanks all.

Bill,

I was finally able to turn the pen today. Unfortunately I am at work and can not post any pics. I will post them tomorrow.

First of all, very nice piece of spalted pecan. Whatever you did I would say it worked. It was a solid piece of wood. It was stabilized all the way through the blank. It drilled and turned quite easily and had a nice glossy look after sanding. I went ahead and applied a CA finish and it worked out fine.

Thanks for letting me do this.

Chris
