This might sound like a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. I've been playing around with gluing squares of plywood to make blanks. I use CA to glue the squares together, then coat the blank with thin CA before drilling and turning. So far I've had pretty good results. Would there be an advantage to try stabilizing the blanks, or can it be done with plywood? I don't have the equipment myself to stabilize, but IF there is any advantage, would someone be willing to do a few blanks for me? Opinions and suggestions are welcome.
