Just for the heck of it , while I was in town today, I stopped at the BORG and priced Elderberry Corian-----$79.00 per Sq foot
I almost fell over----no wonder you don't see much of it running around.

Gary, Go to Coriancolors.com and you can order 4x4 pieces. If you cut it correctly, you can get 10 - 1/2" pieces which can be glued together to make larger pens or make 5 slimlines. Each piece costs $2.5 each or so. Shipping is what will get you though.

If it gets bad, let me know. I know the local supplier here sells them and I would be happy to go by and get some for you if you really want some.

I have a local manufacturer for solid surface and can get it for $3.00 a sq. ft. for 1/2". Colors are limited at times, but usually over 50 in stock. I get the over-runs and the last piece I got was 5' x 12'. I still have most of it.

I wish I could find that here. I called all of the local places and I was told they supposedly sell all of their scraps and throw none out. I have to get all mine from the classified's here.

there's a solid surface manufacturer here, too. They'd LOVE for someone to
come and take away their scrap. Otherwise, they have to pay to have it
hauled away, and also pay to have it disposed of.

Last time I was there I took away about a hundred pounds or so. (works
great for mold boxes..) but I think the 'junk pile' (many many pallets) was
probably 15-20 tons. The scraps are pieces the size of the sink..

Yeah, we have plenty of cabinet shops around that will give their sink cut outs away. I don't care for the fake stone look and it doesn't work for my purpose either. I like the solid colors for what I do.
A guy at work brought me in a stack of cut outs a couple weeks ago. Probably become coasters or hotplates.

I'm in the same boat, here in SE PA. They did tell me to make an offer. If I'm higher they would sell the scraps to me. I had no idea what to offer, so I passed...
