Staying out of the way since my lovely wife has commandeered the kitchen, I went out in the shop and turned a smallish bowl. It had a split near the bottom that I filled with green tinted 5 minute epoxy.
Spalted Elm that I stabilized.
5" Ø x 2" tall
Since the wood is basically plasticized I used plain old furniture paste wax for the finish.
