My second PSI Sophro pen, this one in gold. A.k.a. Capless Rollerball, or as I call it "Upside Down Pen". You can assemble it with the clip on the other end, but I like them this way. The blank is a SpectraPly from Woodcraft called Bumble Bee. It looks like the yellow picked up some of the darker sanding dust. I should have hit it with compressed air before I put the finish on, but I don't know how much it would have helped. Still, it doesn't look too bad, kind of gives it some character. The finish is Pens Plus.

Very nice an unusual blank. This is a question for the forum: Could a tack cloth be used to remove wood dust? They are used for furniture, cabinetry, etc. but never heard if any residue is left to interfere with any applied finish. I tried compressed air on one blank and it seemed t o drive some deeper into the grain.
