Just getting back to making pens after many years. I'm just starting out with some fun easy stuff to get use to the tools. You may recognize some from John Underhill who is an absolute master. Couple blanks from Lazerlines and Kallenshaan. A couple of box elder burls from Bill at AZ Silhouette. I was super sad to hear of his passing. IBO Celtic was interesting. The cocobolo cigar was fun as more beauty just kept coming. The herringbone came from someone here. Please forgive me for not remembering who. I still have a couple of those left. The BOW burl on the far right was fun as it just kept getting more beautiful. Most of my refills, kits and blanks inventory came from Ed and Dawn at Exotics. Most of my kits are 10-15 years old. Most inks are dry except those easy flow 9,000's. Those inks are like the ever ready batteries of pen inks. Anyway, thanks for looking and reading if you got this far.

Quite a diverse group of materials and kits. They are all spectacular. I'd say that the years away from the lathe certainly don't show in the work. Spectacular, one and all!!

Tim, I only make few a year most years and have a big stash of older pens like you. I do buy about 20 or 25 a year most years and need to start using them. And like you, I need to look for refills to use the older pens.

If I started making pens on a daily or weekly basis, the types of pens would look just like yours!

Excellent work. Beautiful finishes.

You haven't lost your touch.
Those Sierra Clicks are the old style with the spacer. The Uni-ball 207 refill will fit without the need to use the spacer. It is the anti check washing refill that was advertised when people used checks a lot.

these are gorgeous, if this is the results after a couple years off then your results when you're back in the saddle will be phenomenal.

There are several pens in here that keep catching my eye. Great work

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Yeah, it's quite a mixture of blanks. That herringbone probably deserved a better kit as with John's beautiful long feathers blank. The long feathers blank was in a bag marked long click so that's what it got. I have some super nice amboyna Burl, cocobolo, Desert Ironwood, apricot and a ton of died stabilized box elder Burl from AZ Silhouette as well as a ton of acrylic blanks from Brooks and others. So, I have enough to keep me busy for awhile. My pen kits are hanging on about 30 long peg hook holders. It looks like a store.
