As some of you know I made a ton of Bowling Ball pens last christmas for a client and I still have all the little bits and pieces and I mean ALOT. SO here is my second attempt to cast small pieces and turn them, these are just the blanks and I will post pics as I go. The first attempts turned out horrible, big blowouts but I know why so this time not the same mistakes. These are not pieces from the thin skinned balls but balls made by Lanemaster and they are full acrylics to the core weight. Anyways wanted to share and lets see what happens.

LOL! Man this is funny! No offense Jerry, and I do like the blanks and can't wait to see them turned. But one misspelled word will cause a mass explosion!! :):)

Very cool Jerry! :)

I had never heard of this before ... maybe Tom can add a caxting section to the library...:rolleyes::biggrin::biggrin:

Ok for all the wise guys, must be all of us here is the finished Electra blank that I still need to get a kit for. What fun to turn this as the ball material seems to like to not really meld with the PR but this is easily fixed with a few coats of medium ca to smooth it out. I probably shoulf have used a lighter pearl color to enhance the ball material but I kind of like this. So back to the pouring room to make different ones. I will post those as I finish pouring them.
