I'm just wondering if a member in that area could get some of that tree before it goes to the mulcher , cut it into blanks , and distribute them to other members who (like me) would want to make some pens from them . Someone in another thread on this topic has already thought of this . Hope some will jump into it .

It's worth a call for sure. Maybe someone a bit more local would be willing to get some of it. I'm sure turners would be grabbing it up as well.

Do you mean PA instead of VA?

According to my atlas that is exactly what I mean!!:rolleyes:

I was never much of a history student (obviously) and have always thought Gettysburg was in Virginia.....don't know exactly why?? In fact I even lived in Virginia as a young kid. Guess I should have stuck around a little longer and I would have learned my historical geography a little better. Anyway, I am now better prepared for the geography category on Jepordy should I ever become a contestant.

Thanks
