So, long story short, we had to tear out 800 sqft of solid oak flooring (installed in 1939) due to water damage. I grabbed a bunch of it before it hit the dumpster and this is just one of several cutting boards that have/or will be made from the flooring. I purposely didn't mill it much and left some defects, nail holes etc. in the material. Some walnut was added for interest. This board will stay with the house, hopefully in perpetuity.
