I saw this at the theater when I was 8. Waited in line for 3 hours. I ain't saying it scared the poo out of me but, coincidentally, I was 8 years old when I started taking showers!

BUT, being the analytical type, I read everything I could on 'Movie Magic' after that, and it was the LAST movie that scared me.

Actually; The part about the "men in the water" is somewhat exaggerated but historical fact. The USS Indianapolis delivered the atom bomb components to Tinian and after it left was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine.
