5 inches last night. I can't remember the last time it snowed this early down here! It always looks nice, but I hope it melts off the roads fast.

The yard stick in the snow on our deck reads 22 inches. It is also in a somewhat protected spot on the deck, so I suspect we got a bit more than that.
As long as the state does it's part, I'm OK with it. Sure makes some nice pictures of the birds in our makeshift feeding station!

Man, my back is sore from shoveling snow today. They plowed the roads in the neighborhood, but not the alley behind our houses where the garages are. Thankfully, our neighbor's father came over with a snowblower!
