Any suggestions to better hide the seam when casting snakeskin? I have some Boa skin that I have tried on Sierra tube and turned out ok but the seam was still noticeable. I hid most of it with the clip but thought I'd ask here if there is possibly a better cutting technique or something to apply on it other than CA that could help hide the seam. Thanks!

The biggest problem with boa is the thickness of the skins, vs prairie rattlesnake with a thin skin so any overlap on the boa just magnifies the seam.

Yes Boa thick skin and small scales.

I am getting to post a bunch of snake skin blanks I just made. And I challenge anyone to find a seam. I will post a photo in a day or 2 when I get a chance.

Here is how I do it with a rattler cut the skin so it just overlaps less than a 1/16 now the trick and the secret cut zig-zag along the scales this can be tricky matching color were you cut.

Now with a python I got a skin but haven't cast it yet and it is thick and I think the scales are small two problems. I am thinking maybe when you cut the outside of the over lapping length angle the razor as to thin the edge and see if you can trim around the scales and not cut a straight line. Very small zig-zag would blend in a lot better then a straight line.

My 2 cents
