snakeskin preperation

This may not be the place for this post, but can anyone point me in the direction or thread of how to get snakeskin ready for gluing to the tubes? I'm not talking about how to put it on or anything like that but more so of what i need to do to get the skin dry and what would be the easiest and best way to dry the skin out and still be able to use it.

Are you asking how to tan it for use in pens? If so, I don't know that anyone has a step-by-step on here as it's probably mostly technique, but do some browsing on the web for vegetable tanning.

More information is needed to answer your question. Are you using fresh skins? Are you buying skins and if so, from whom? Do you know how they were tanned? Are they stiff like parchment paper or are they soft like a baby's bottom? Give us more info and you will get the answer you need.

I'm sorry, it is fresh skin so to speak. I was just curious on how to go about the tanning process of it.
