I recently aquired a snakeskin..... ummmm ok about 30 minutes ago I beat the crap outta a snake with a shovel. Now what, I am looking for basically all the steps to turn it into a pen. I know I need to tan it beforehand correct? I have read Don Wards bubble free casting and have molds and all so if I could get some help on the tanning I'd be grateful.

Slice the skin down them belly side and pull off the skin starting at the head end and pulling toward the tail.

Send me an email and I will send you the tanning instructions.

We have eels here too. Black looking slimy things. I don't know how I'd hold onto one long enough to skin it. They are strong too.
 
The eels in new zealand are Massive!! The Maori's go out at nite with this hook thing and go into the water hook them swing them around and bash them on the rocks to kill them, taste great smoked!! I was supposed to go with my husbands uncle to do it, but he was convinced I would scream so much I would scare them all off!!!
