The other day I got a 3 maybe 3-1/2 ft long Copperhead, he is in the freezer right now, I know how to skin it and stretch & salt the hide to dry it, is there any thing else I should do like remove the scales or any tanning I should do before I find some one to make some blanks, I might even buy one of Charlies molds and try an do my own, I just don't want to screw up the skin, Copperheads are getting real scarce around here.

I'll send you directions for curing the rattlesnake skins I use. Don't knoiw why it wouldn't work for other species. This process gives soft and pliable skins. The salt process makes them stiff like parchment paper. I will need your emailaddress to send the file.
Do a good turn daily!
